The most cozy drink ever

I'm not very good at updating this thing, am I?

Well, I don't get to do a lot of scrapbooking these days, and to be frank, I'm not very inspired or motivated. But, at the end of February I signed up for a 6 month subscription to Little Red Scrapbook. I got my first kit last week, and made this layout. You get a lot of paper and embellishment for just $22 (+ shipping, of course, which is a bit to Norway, but still cheaper than kits from Norwegian stores, and bigger kits, as I can see).

I never thought I'd be too fond of those turquoise Thickers, but seeing them on this paper, and the contrast it creates... They're great! I also finally got to use one of the denim flowers from Prima that I got a few months ago. This is also the first time I try rhinestone embellishment, and I have to admit that I like it quite a lot.

And yes, this is also another shameless lift. Hoped it'd spark my inspiration. Alas, it didn't.

A year later

I don't have a definite date for when I first started scrapbooking, but it should be about a year ago. Thought I'd post my first layouts here, just for fun.

Sunday Challenge

A Norwegian scrapbooking forum sometimes have challenges on Sundays, and today was one of those days. A sketch was provided, and here is my interpretation of it :)

First Love

Another end of a month, another prompt from Gutter Girlz. This time I was more than a little inspired by Nikki's layout, as you can see.

New hair!

My husband got his hair cut yesterday, after keeping it long for over a decade. Of course, this was an event that had to be documented.

Full list of products used can be found here.

Always, forever Chic

I'm a big shoe-lover, and this layout shows that. I took the picture, in the car, on our way to a wedding last summer.Papers from Basic Grey and Making Memories. It was a great way to try Slice for something else than Holiday designs! Stamps from Autumn Leaves. Prima, Tim Holtz and Heidi Swapp thrown in there for good measure.

Long time, no see

After a few hectic weeks of starting a new job, going back to uni and generally living life, both Anne Liv and I took last night off and went to a crop at Scrapshop. It was great fun to meet people from the store's online message board, and making stuff... :)

An acquaintance has been diagnosed with cancer, so I used a new-learned technique to make her a get well soon-card.

This year's first Christmas card. I already realize I'll never get all the ones I need done in time...

The pictures are from this summer when we traveled through Germany and Denmark. The journaling says "After driving through Denmark and Germany with wind blowing in our hair, we realized a bandana would be teh smarts..."

A family-LO. My maternal grandfather is the young man at the back.

Looking Up

Looking Up

It's been a while since I've done any scrapbooking. Vacation is over and done with, and the school year is about to start. It was about time I made another layout.

After watching Arya become mesmerized by a circling daddy long legs on saturday, I pulled out the camera and got some shots of her staring.

The only trouble doing anything with the photos was that I had no image in my head on how it should be. Anne Liv pulled out the newest issue of Scrapbook Inspirations and handed it to me. Inside I found a layout called "Adore Red" by Lori Laing, and decided to scraplift it.

This is me

After searching endlessly online for the perfect paper, I decided it was not to be, and made my own. I asked friends from online to give me adjectives (negatives and well as positives) for this LO, and they contributed generously. Sadly, I could only fit a few;

And here, for your viewing pleasure; two detail shots.

You are mine - and I'm yours?

After more than 8 months since the wedding, I've finally made a wedding LO. Granted, my first ever was with a wedding photo, but since it was my first ever, it doesn't count :P

As I was holding it up for the hubby to "inspect", a fair bit of jokin' on who belonged to who ensued - but that's to be expected, is it not? :P

If you are that way inclined, you can check out the rest of our wedding photos here. I'd also like to point out that I was heavily inspired by Piscine's design. Go check out her stuff - she's good! :)
