To a Wonderful Husband

Starting a new medication, I'm having a setback. I know I'm not easy to be around when the depression is at its worst, and the worst thing is that sometimes I can't stop myself.

But, through it all, the one person who's always going to be there, is my husband, and I think he deserves a little attention right now.

This card is for him. He doesn't know about it yet, but I hope he'll like it.

Botched attempt

Last week I came over the call for applications to the Spring Design Team at 2 Sketches 4 You. I printed out the sketches, and did one the same day, sure the deadline for application was Midnight Monday the 24th. Of course, there is no Monday 24th this month. I'm on new medication and it's really messing with my concentration; I'm struggling with writing, spelling and reading. There are days I don't consider myself safe behind the wheel. Not good.

Anyway, the nice girls of 2 Sketches 4 You wrote back, letting me know I would not be considered as the deadline was a day ago, but that my cards were really good!

So, here they are;

Cutesy!

I got some new stuff, from all the nearby stores, and some online. It's weird how paychecks disappear so quickly!

Anyway, I just love the Detours: Walk in the Park from October Afternoon. I can't explain it, but I seem to have developed a special liking for cutesy patterned papers (I also love Sassafrass Lass). The other papers used are Creative Imaginations Teal Note Book and Dream Street's Unique Boutique - Secondhand Stripe. Bazzill background is French Vanilla and the ribbon is from Kort & Godt. Can't remember where I got the button... I used my Slice for the die cut, and Making Memories' Tiny Alphas, another favorite of mine.

Enjoy!

Shameless lift

I just finished a new card - a shameless lift from 2 Sketches 4 You!

Rebecca 9 years

My niece is 9 years old tomorrow. She loves horses, and doesn't like pink, so this was what I came up with.

New Stamps and cards!

1. I've been making lots of cards lately, even though I swore I'd never make cards a while back. In addition to the card I posted earlier this week, I made another one, with another Sassafras Lass patterned paper. Another online friend is going through a divorce and is feeling rather down on herself.

2. My husband's sister turns 17 on July 1st, so I used the same layout as I did on the "Fawnd of You" card I linked to *points*

3. I'd also like to show off a card I made my husband's grandmother who tuns 70 these days. Nothing too fancy, but I have a thing for polkadots (and he hates them).

4. Plus, I got some new stamps in the mail yesterday;

An online friend is currently admitted, so I thought I'd cheer her up a bit.

Greeting Card

Tomorrow, the other team member on this blog, Anne Liv, is getting married. After a few months of scrapping, it felt completely wrong to go to a store to get her and her beloved a premade greeting card. It was time to take it to "the next level", and make something myself. Scary, in a way, considering the "massiveness" of the situation. Either it'd turn out really good, or... I'd have to get a store-card and admit defeat, and - that was not an option.

So, last Monday, the day before my last exam this year, I thought it to be the perfect occasion. Procrastinator? Me?
